Alternative Care Saves

2005 Back Pain less costly with 'alternative' care: 'Alternative' providers, predominantly chiropractors, report significantly less average cost per patient than when patients consult a 'conventional' provider, predominantly medical doctors ($342 vs. $506). These figures excluded patients requiring surgical or other hospital care. The study involved over 600,000 adults. Published in the research journal Spine.
